The Cordelia Knott Center for Wellness is a project of the Cordelia Knott Wellness Foundation. This not-for-profit facility was established in October 2002 in the city of Orange, California to complement mainstream medical care. Our guiding principle is to offer the most comprehensive support network for cancer patients and their caregivers. We encourage people to focus on self-discovery, preventive care, and positive lifestyle habits and to incorporate these services into their daily lives.

Mind and Spirit as Well as Body
Conventional medicine and scientific research both play an important role in the overall approach to disease management. The focus on technology often ignores the essential need to respond to patients as psychosocial and spiritual beings. Therefore, disease is not something that happens to someone, it is a multifaceted process that arises within an individual person - a human being with a mind and spirit, as well as a body.
By honoring and caring for the mind, spirit, and body, we have found that patients and families have the very best chance of achieving the results they desire through the healing process.

At the Cordelia Knott Center for Wellness you will find a support staff of outstanding, highly trained and dedicated health professionals, healing practitioners and facilitators experienced in a wide range of disciplines to guide and support your discovery and healing.

Healing Spaces
We have carefully planned the 2,500 square foot space, setting a tone of healing and harmony throughout. The design reflects elements of nature incorporating warm colors, natural stone and wood.  Johnson Hall, our multi-purpose space where we hold many of our meetings and support groups, has healing words and thoughts integrated into the decor for a restful and relaxing atmosphere.   Whether you are dealing with an illness, with daily stress, or are on a personal journey of self-discovery, please join us in our healing space.

The Moretti Family Resource Library has the largest collection of materials on cancer and wellness in Orange County. It includes books, DVDs, videotapes, audiotapes, pamphlets, and articles that offer up-to-date medical, emotional, and spiritual support. These may be checked out at no charge. Our Library is supported by donations and staffed by volunteers.

About our Name
"Throughout her life, my mother, Cordelia Hornaday Knott, showed other women how to give. Her humble spirit, her generosity, and her hard work are legendary. It is with much love and gratitude that this Center for Wellness is dedicated to her memory. My mother would have been deeply honored by this recognition." -Virginia Knott Bender

Cordelia Knott's creativity, ingenuity and hard work led to the boysenberry jams, pies and the famous Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinner Restaurant that helped make Knott's Berry Farm the success it is today. Having experienced and survived breast cancer, Cordelia Knott passed away in 1974. Her legacy lives on with the naming of the Cordelia Knott Center for Wellness located in Orange, California.
