Appearance Center

Cancer patients often have special needs, including the management of physical appearance changes brought about by cancer and cancer treatment.  Irene's Shop on Main offers a wide range of products to help manage those changes, from skin care to wigs and post-mastectomy items. Privacy, comfort and convenience are emphasized. In addtion, our boutique at Irene's Shop on Main has a wonderful selection of distinctive gifts including aromatherapy candles, journals, jewlery and greeting cards. Our specially trained staff and volunteers offer personalized help.

  • Bras, camisoles, and other specialized apparel for women who have had a mastectomy
  • Hair alternatives, including a selection of hats, wigs, and head wraps
  • Fashion advice: head wrap and scarf-tying techniques
  • Products to manage symptoms of Lymphedema 
  • Non-metallic deodorants and skin care products
  • Relaxation tapes and CDs
  • Educational books and tapes  
  • Gift items                                                                           

Wig Bank

Our Wig Bank offers a wonderful assortment of gently used wigs, turbans, and hats for women with financial challenges. The Wig Bank is staffed and maintained by a dedicated group of volunteers.

We do not turn anyone away. To schedule an appointment or to donate to the Wig Bank, please call 714-569-0318 ex. 4113.
